I hereby declare that involvd.com will be:
- A resource sitting on the net with open access for you to use
- Free for you to use (both as in beer and speech)
- An open platform that will rely on external developers to help evolve into something relevant, rich and useful for all. There will be therefore be a Developer API and an App Store
- Strong on community. Allowing you to support and learn from each other has been shown by countless examples in the last few years to be vastly more powerful than the business to consumer model
- Evolving continuously through constant feedback and interaction with you. I’m not precious about the vision (well maybe a little but I’ll do my best to let go) and I fully expect it to change dramatically as it grows and gets older
- Like Facebook but will help you get stuff done
The aim is to create this on as little start-up money as possible, in fact to get it to prototype out on the net I’m aiming for an almost zero spend. The aim is to beat Guy Kawasaki´s $12,107.09 to launch www.truemors.com but we’re very different propositions so let’s see where we get to. Money so far? £25.73 for registering www.involvd.com for two years.
